Come join in an OMCA tradition that spans the globe, with dance anywhere\u00ae<\/a>, a simultaneous worldwide public art performance. On Friday, March 22 at 12 noon in California, 3 pm in New York, and 9 pm in Rome and Paris, people of all ages and artistic capacities will dance in parks, museums, street corners, schools, work places, community centers, offices, and just about anywhere you can imagine. Performances span six continents, 45 countries, and more than 316 cities in this celebration of dance. Participants include professional dancers and artists, plumbers, doctors, soccer players, teachers and politicians, and YOU! Some dances are choreographed, some are improvised, and many stretch the definition of what dance is. Everyone is invited no matter age or ability.<\/p>\n

This year\u2014OMCA’s third year participating\u2014the Museum will be featuring AXIS Dance Company<\/a>, which creates, performs, and teaches \u201cphysically integrated dance\u201d\u2014a contemporary dance form that evolves from the collaboration between dancers with and without disabilities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
