Emilio\u2019s work focuses on the relationship built by engagement with the audience, cohorts, family members, and site-specific locations. In his piece,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.performancero.com\/2013\/04\/mestizo-zempoala.html\">Mestizo Zempoala<\/a>\u00a0(2012), Emilio created a fictitious Mexican wrestler in response to cultural and racial stereotypes.\u00a0 Working in site-specific location, such as the US Airways terminal,\u00a0this work, created a \u201cunique moment in time, space, aesthetics, and actions that create circumstances that challenge the audience. This piece explored institutional passages by utilizing location, identity, boundaries, and perspectives.
