Claudine Naganuma is an Asian American Choreographer born and raised in San Francisco and is a resident of Oakland.
Her father was born in San Francisco and interned at the Gila River Reservation and her Hong Kongese mother was detained at Angel Island Immigration Center. Central to her creative practice is her perpetual inquiry of social justice and her desire for community building through the arts. She is the director of Danspace, home of the program Dance for PD® and her modern dance company dNaga.
