dance anywhere® at the san francisco public library

Friday, March 28, 2014 at noon: Ann Bluethenthal Dance and Kara Davis / agora project will dance at the San Francisco Public Library / 100 Larkin Street as part of the FREE simultaneous performances of dance anywhere®.

ABD’s dance anywhere® performance celebrates of one of the last truly democratic public spaces in our culture: the public library. Through movement, we will investigate the materiality and metaphor of books, the myriad ways that we read and create, and how knowledge can increase intimacy, compassion, and communication. Anne Bluethenthal has assembled a beautiful ensemble of 12 dancers to create playful, invigorating, and thoughtful choreography for this architecturally, intellectually and socially dynamic common space, including incomparable live vocal performance by singer-songwriter, Gina Breedlove.
